SPORT CLAM SEASON OPENS MARCH 1, 2009
AT DOSEWALLIPS STATE PARK

Last year's clam season at Dosewallips State Park opened on April 1st. Due to an increase in clam population, clam season opens March 1, 2009 (a month earlier than last year). The Washington Fish and Wildlife Commission approved this extended season at its February 6-7, 2009 meeting.

Location: Dosewallips State Park - Open only in area defined by Boundary markers and posted signs

Limits: No more than 40 clams or 10 pounds in the shell (Clam Identification).

Horse Clams: First 7 dug regardless of condition.

This area is open for Oysters year around. Daily limit 18. Minimum size 2 ½" measured across the longest distance of the shell.
