I caught this big king Labor Day 2003 near Blue Dot off the northern tip of Washington using a Superior spoon, trolling with Scotty downriggers at a depth of 60 feet. This was the largest fish caught, but we released at least 10 others, all well over 20 pounds. Many thanks to my good friend Dave Parker with his beautiful Lindell 38 who treated me to the trip of my life.

Chris Cross, Bonney Lake, Wa.
